THE EASIEST SHREDDED CROCK POT CHICKEN
This is an easy way to prepare chicken for recipes that call for cooked and shredded chicken. I found this recipe on DashingDish.com.
This is a great way to prepare chicken to use in salads or sandwiches.
4 (4 ounce) chicken breasts
2 cups chicken stock ( or 2 chicken bullion cubes + 2 cups water)
Optional: salt and pepper to taste, 1/4 tsp garlic powder, or any other seasoning of your choice.
Place chicken in crock pot with the chicken broth and seasonings of your choice, and cover. Let cook for 4 hours on high or 8 hours on low. After cooking, remove chicken from crock pot with a fork, and place on cutting board. Shred chicken with 2 forks. Place chicken in covered container and use throughout the week for recipes that call for shredded chicken.
Makes 4 (1/2 cup) servings
