I'm an Athlete!

I almost ended the title to this post with a question mark, but decided if I'm really going to own this (as I should) I'll end it with an explanation mark.
Today I went to get a massage, it's my monthly "treat", I decided last year that I could afford to take care of my mind and body and get a massage and it is heavenly. I've known my massage therapist for 4 years now and we've built a strong relationship during that time. She's known me at my highest, then my lowest, and then recently almost back to my highest. Since I've been back to spark I've seen her once a month and she's heard about every little step. She's a fantastic cheerleader.
Anyway, today as I lay on her table writhing in pain as she worked on my legs, arms and back she comments on how tight my muscles are. Then she says "I have to work on you different now, because you're an athlete."
WHAT!?!?! Me? No!
Yeah I was a swam year round in high school but I wasn't competitive and I wasn't fast. I don't think the words Megan and athlete have ever been used in a sentence together. When I laughed at my massage therapist she said "Seriously Megan, you swim, you're jogging, you hike, you do kettlebell. You're an athlete." Then I had this moment where I realized it's what I want and she was right, I am an athlete.
So this is me embracing that I'm an athlete. I'm training, not sure what for yet, but it's going to be great.
For now here's some motivation for all of my fellow athletes.
