Has it been that long?

I stated in my last blog in April that I had put of blogging because I felt out of sorts. Well I have been waiting that long to get some results from my knee/leg condition. I hate having medical issues and I do feel like it is always something. My weight is not making these issues any better and it is time to get back on track with losing weight.
I have had a torn meniscus that I have finally been given Aqua therapy to help get me moving again. I have had a very difficult time walking with the constant pain. After several appointments and a couple of tests the Phrygian’s Assistant finally prescribed me the Aqua therapy, which has made the simple task of walking tolerable. However, over the last two weeks I noticed my calf was badly swollen and was causing pain with walking now. Ugh I say… I waited for my knee fallow up to discuss this with the doctor and she sent me straight to the emergency room for an ultrasound. I had to wait for the results since she thought it could have been a blood clot. Thankfully it wasn’t. It took the doctor’s office two more days to get back to me to let me know that I have a baker’s cyst. From what I have read about these cysts’s mine must be draining down to my lower leg since that is the area that is all swollen.
When I first had my knee looked at I kept telling them that I had pain in the back of the knee. They thought it was just arthritis and the MRI only showed them arthritis and the torn meniscus. I’m not sure why the cyst wasn’t diagnosed earlier. I was so embarrassed by the fact I had a swollen calf because it always seem to be something else with my medical issues. I’m very tired of getting one thing fixed just to have another one pop up.
I did see a post today that says there will always be something that isn’t ideal and this is life – deal with it. One of my favorite sayings is “Suck it up and Deal with it!” I guess that is just what I will do!
Get carrying on and have a wonderful weekend!
