So today is the first day i began training for a 5K. Not that I have signed up for one, or even found one i want to sign up for, but I'm working on it anyway.
I don't usually run, im not a fan, but I'm going to give it a shot.
I did a 5 min warmup at 3.5 walking, then 15 min at 4.5 jogging. Then i had to take a break, 3 min at 3.5 again. Then i decided i was feeling extra energized, so i pushed back up to 5.0 running. I told myself i had to do at least 10 minutes at 5 mph. Well, 10 minutes came and went, and vegore i knew it it was over!!! I did it! I stood there on the treadmill in the middle of the gym and cried(just a little, but still).
My time for my first 5K: 41:42!!
I feel so accomplished!
Hoping to take off 2 minutes by next week, but i will be happy with every second i can take off each week.
