I never thought I'd say this, but doctor's orders.
I spent this past weekend, starting Friday about 5 pm, in ICU. Starting at 10 am, when I went to pick up soda/water at the local service station at 630 am, then up to my uncles bar to get the ice (with my brother in law and one of the harley guys) then back to the State HOG rally to unload all of that and fill the tanks with water, ice, pop, and beer to prepare for the Rally, and start selling the stuff for the CAMDEN Accessible playground fundraiser (which I had symptoms like sweating, diarreah, and dull pain in my chest/back, and a little trouble breathing in deeply, thinking I was getting the flu). I finally put my hair up and felt much better, though the dull ache persisted and so the did frequent runs to the br. I finally put my shirt in ice water and put it across my shoulders which helped a lot, too, and after a lot of convincing by my Mom, went home around 2:30. When I laid down (after stopping at the service station that donated all the pop, to let them know we may need more pop), I felt so much better, no more back/chest pain at all. I woke up when my husband got home at 5pm, with a shoulder pain on the left side (I'd slept on the left side and had blanket wrinkles on my left shoulder, and figured I'd slept on it wrong.) Getting up I told my husband my chest and back hurt, and my shoulder did a little, and I was having trouble breathing in fully, and he told me I should go in to urgent care.
So I did, figuring I had the flu, I drove there, my husband went and got groceries. They checked me out right away, didn't have to even sit in the waiting room, took a blood test and called the ambulance, took me to the ER for more testing and then did more testing. Started 2 IV's in my right arm/hand, took more tests, and then scheduled a catheter the next morning. All during the State HOG Rally. NOOOOOOOOO.
The Catheter on Saturday came back with my veins and arteries being clear, and they said I'd had a stress heart attack, mild, but they told me I couldn't lift anything for a week, over 10 pounds, and I needed to take it easy for a while...in other words..no stress.
So it means I can't do anything that causes stress...I need to back down from everything I do, which I really don't like, especially Spark People, and the CAMDEN Playground rebuild. The Playground rebuild is my pet project and it really bothers me to not do as much as I do for it, but my health is more important.
Please, if you have any symptoms, anything at all, GET TO THE ER; mine were mild...hard to fill the lungs fully with air, dull pain in the center of the chest and middle of the back..and diarrhea, even the shoulder pain. Sweating, my face was read...I wasn't sick to my stomach, but apparently what can happen; also, my chest and back pain went away when I laid down..DON'T IGNORE IT, I was lucky. Get yourself to the ER and don't delay, I don't care if you find out it's nothing, make sure!
So I'll be stopping by, but not as much..I'm sorry and do apologize. I hope you all understand. I've been started on some new meds to help out, also
BUT I did take some pics of my "wounds" *L* they have such a hard time getting blood from me, but for one place, and well, I've got some nice coloring, so enjoy.
oh, and this is my 7' Lilly that our Daughter, Son, and Son-in-law got me a few years ago for Mother's Day it has grown a lot bigger than last year, and it's loaded with flowers. So beautiful!
