Kayaking Jul 11 15

Sunday, July 12, 2015

I LOVE kayaking however where we live there is no where right in town where we can kayak, or leave our kayaks so we haven't gone often. Saturday we were at the lake with our new vehicle which has roof racks and a hitch and we decided we would go. DH wanted to go on an adventurous ride but with my back and neck issues I convinced him to try a conservation area in a neighbouring town. I had gone there once before but didn't follow the water very far, this time we paddled, and paddled, saw lots of nature, enjoyed the peacefulness of the area, got lots of emoticon and afterwards DH said he had to admit I picked the perfect spot.

Sounds like an emoticon way to spend the day. I love to be outdoors, and I love the water. Next week our whole family is renting a home on a lake that is outfitted with kayaks. I have never been, and I look forward to this experience. Since the lake should be calm, it seems like that will make things doable. LOL, probably after 5 minutes I will probably say....looks easier than it is! I'm about to find out how strong my core and upper body strength are I think.

Thanks for visiting my spark page and blog, and for your encouragement. Have an awesome Friday!

Super cool. I love to canoe/kayak. I've had several run ins with birds, so I'm not a huge fan unless they are at a distance. But, looks like you had a great time, and yes, picked the perfect spot.
