Lots of Changes =Good Stress?

Saturday, July 11, 2015

Spent the last week on a very relaxing vacation at my in-laws house in Oregon. They were very understanding of the emotional upheaval we have been through over the past month and a half. It took me 3 days to feel like a normal person again.

Anyway, while we were there I got an email from Washington County. They liked my resume' and want me to take a skills test a week from Monday. So we are back home for a week, then back to Oregon for a couple of days. Two days after we get back home again will be son's girlfriend's trial. I am still hoping they will settle because the thought of testifying is terrifying.

Also, I will probably have to call in sick to work for two days in order to get up to Oregon for this test. I'm afraid if I tell my boss I'm looking for work that he will start looking for my replacement. Ugh!! I'm just a big ball of anxiety right now. emoticon

Anyway, most of these changes are good and I really feel like hubby and I are taking positive steps and moving in the right direction.

As always, thank you for listening. emoticon

Good luck Teressa, I wish you the best! I wouldn't tell the current boss just adds to much stress and I agree with squirrelmomma1 don't go to gf's trial if you don't have to.
    Take care! emoticon

Oh, yes, changes are difficult, and if they are accompanied with emotional turmoil it is even tougher! I am sure you and your husband can handle it together! Do what you have to do and don't forget to breath and meditate!

I'm happy that you had a good vacation. Congratulations on the good news and good luck on the skills test.

I understand why you don't want to tell your boss you need time off for a test for a new job. Yes, that just adds to the stress you already have to face right now.

Girlfriends trial? Do you have to attend? If you don't have to attend I would stay away, too much stress. Good luck on the new job thing. That is exciting. Keeping my fingers crossed that it all works out for you.
