TRACKING BEFORE EATING

Saturday, July 11, 2015

THIS IS SOMETHING I WILL TRY TO DO THIS COMING WEEK.
SINCE I AM NOT MEASURING PORTIONS TO MANY TIMES I SEE WHERE I ATE MORE THAN I SHOULD

ALSO WHEN I CHEAT ON SOMETHING THAT IS NOT GOOD FOR ME I SEEM TO GIVE MYSELF PERMISSION TO BE BAD ALL DAY...BAD MOVE...ANOTHER CASE OF SELF SABATAGE...WILL HAVE TO WORK ON THE BAD HABITS I HAVE PERFECTED OVER THE YEARS AND ERASE THEM

WELL BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARDS.

I used to be resistant to tracking ahead of eating, but I did find that it helped me to plan better for the next meal. I often do it a day at a time starting with breakfast. My evening meals are the main ones that change, so the other two aren't too different most days. Plan those snacks in if it helps you. I try to keep my snacking to a minimum...too many calories in those little snacks, but many people have to have several a day. Keep focusing...you are doing great!!! Oh yes...do think about measuring...it helps me in so many ways when I do it consistently.

You sound like me! I have found that if I keep a set of measuring cups right on the counter where I prepare most foods, it helps a lot to track. The other thing I have learned is to fill 1/2 my plate with vegetables, 1/4 with protein, and 1/4 for grains. It helps me keep from getting overconfident in my measuring skills.
