I began this weight loss journey just 12 weeks ago. My husband went shopping and said he was going to do a popular 3 day diet. I thought, what the heck, and I joined him. I starved myself for those 3 days and I lost weight, but it only got me wanting more. I searched online for weight loss resources and found SparkPeople. It was love at first sight. I found myself reading article after article to gain inspiration and knowledge. The food tracker and fitness tracker are some of the most use resources I have ever experienced! I use them diligently!
I may have begun this journey at my husband's prompting. Thanks to the Spark People I have become fully committed. I have joined a wonderful Spark Team, bought myself a new pair of workout shoes (a big deal on a missionary budget) and purchased a gym membership for myself and my husband.
After 3 months I have lost 46 pounds and gained a world of happiness. I am enjoying the weight loss journey with a supportive husband and some new wonderful friends that are halfway around the world. I have made a weight loss commitment to myself. I am no longer accepting that I will always be fat!
