Enjoyed a good week last week. Our son was here to visit and he painted one wall in our bedroom a medium blue for an accent wall. DH doesn't have the energy to do things like that anymore.

Had our DGD the week before for a couple of days. She walked my legs off lol. We went for a walk one morning and walked 2.7 miles. I didn't think that I was able to do that anymore but found out that I can. Then we went to the mall in the afternoon and walked some more.

I have been wondering what I can expect my body to be able to do at my age. I found out that it can do more than I expect of it so I need to put my walking shoes on and get moving.

The summer 5% challenge is helping me. They want us to be competitive with the other teams and that fits my personality. Saturday, after our son left, I just wanted to rest but put on my walking shoes and went for a walk for my team (then forgot to post my minutes. Oh those senior moments)

Looking forward to this week and racking up the minutes – posting them too lol.

Your minutes still count just as long as they are posted before the end of the week! When posting late, I just make sure I include what day they are for. Happens to a lot of us. emoticon

It's nice that you've had company to enjoy and all the walking with your DGD is great!

I'll be 80 in just weeks now Yvonne and have had a back & leg problem for over a year. Painful all the time and it seems to be permanent but . . . using a walker, I make sure I walk daily, even if it's just up and down the hallways in my apartment building. It keeps us moving.

Do all you can while you can! I think you do really good!
