Third time is the charm? Anyone have to start over?

I am back, doing what I know to do.

I have gotten to GOAL twice! Both times were HARD and yet here I am again!

I am so thankful for SparkPeople. I am thankful that I came back after all this time and my favourites are all there. I know the hours that were spent imputting all that information.

Today was about curbing over eating, not eating what ever was in front of me (at a church potluck, couldn't I have waited til Monday?). NO! I knew today was the day. So I brought a salad in my own bowl and didn't even go to the table. We ate outside, so I didn't even go in to the dessert table. Don't you love DAY ONE resolve? I will see where that resolve is one week in, one month in, one year in!!!

I ate extremely healthy today, I ate until satisfied, however I only managed 800 calories. That won't be normal, but today it is a start. Man you can eat a lot of food when it is nutrient dense without a lot of empty calories!!!

Here is my lunch salad

I will be tracking daily. I will try to blog weekly.

emoticon It's not how many times you fall, but how many you get back up, brush yourself off, and get back on track that counts. Do what you know works for you, and you will meet your goals again.

emoticon We all start over, every morning ... Sometimes every meal! Thank Goodness we have the rest of our lives to get it right.

The third time IS a charm, and the fourth if that's what it takes. As long as you keep re-committing, that's the important thing. Clearly you know what to do and how to do it. So, go for it! I phase in and out with how careful I am about tracking, how frequently I blog, etc., but so far have been able to maintain through those less involved times, and then lose a bit more when I am ready. You can do it (again)!

You are right. You can eat a lot of healthy food and not be hungry and still keep calories under control. I believe this past time was my fourth time and it seems to be working this time. ( and I mean recent times like within the past 3 or 4 years) emoticon
