Getting back on track

Tuesday, June 30, 2015

Last week I had 14 people staying with us in our little cottage for a week while we were doing a funeral and these are old friends I haven't seen in many years. They are all home once again and as I am happy to have my house back to normal I already miss them and think we sure do live too far apart.

Last week with so many people there I felt like my normal eating habits just went out the window. My time focusing on how to properly eat and studying to have a healthy body all that I just didn't have time for and boy do I feel like I lost some momentum. I guess I just am not where I want to be because if this was to ever happen again I hope in future I am strong enough to say enjoy yourselves but this is what I am doing and this is what I am eating and this is how I am living.

On the flip side watching other people run into party stores for quick little snacks here and there and go through the drive thru got me thinking wow I have much healthier habits than most but with that I also had to remind myself not to compare myself to others only myself. So Cheers to getting back on track. I strayed but I am home! Hip Hip Hooray!

Lovely to hear you had friends over and i hope you are ok as you mentioned there was a funeral.

Its very tough to eat healthy when everyone around you is opting to eat unhealthy. But like you said we learn from it and next time i also hope when im in that situation i will be strong enough to say this is my way of living and choices too. Great attitude Emme! Ah yes i also compare myself a lot, i think its only human to but yes we need to focus on ourselves more than others so that we dont fall in to that trap.

    have a lovely day!
