June 29- Plugging away

Monday, June 29, 2015

Well, we've gotten a few things nailed down now. My husband will be renting an in-law apartment from a former school-mate of his who works for the same company he's starting with, so that will be an inexpensive way for him to be right near work (walking distance!) during the week, and he'll come home on the weekends for the first month. We've found a place to rent in the kids' school district starting in August as well, just have to sign the rental agreement and put a deposit down this week. I'll keep my job through mid-late August, and get done a week or 2 before the semester starts. We'll keep our current apartment that long as well, so hubby and I will be living separately during the week for almost 2 months, but it's a small sacrifice to have both of our paychecks coming in for that long. I'll be able to clean/sort/pack stuff while I'm home on the weeknights (after I go to the gym!), and once August gets here, we can move gradually into the new place instead of having to rush to do it all in a single weekend like we did to get into our current apartment. We'll wait until the end of July to buy a 2nd vehicle, while we still have proof of income from both jobs. Between financial aid and my student loans in addition to his paycheck, we really won't be taking a hit once the school year starts, so I think it will all work out beautifully!
