June 19- Finally Friday!

Another week down! My husband and I are heading to camp when I get out of work tonight. I'll spend plenty of time on my feet and playing yard games does provide some exercise, the problem is camp food and 12 ounce curls tend to negate any exercise I do get in! I'm going to take plenty of fruit and veggies for snacks to keep from binging on unhealthy stuff, but not worry about it too much.
We're only staying through tomorrow as hubby has to greet 2 new soldiers for his unit as they arrive home from training on Sunday, so we'll have to be home tomorrow night. It's disappointing that he doesn't get to spend Father's Day with the kids, especially since he was deployed for it last year, but when you don't have primary custody, you don't get to make those decisions. We'll have to celebrate Father's Day late this year. Instead, we'll have to enjoy an adults only weekend at camp, which is a pretty rare event!
We did make it to the gym last night. I randomly decided I was going to try the 5000m row on the rowing machine when I've only been doing 2000m and then switching to either the bike or the treadmill for the rest of my workout. I initially regretted the decision almost immediately and thought about switching it, but my husband talked me out of it. I ended up doing the entire 5000m in 33:30! Now my goal is to get that under 30 minutes, then increase the intensity level by level. I love the rowing machine for cardio because it works the entire body. My shoulders, arms, abs, and legs were all feeling the strain by the time I finished.
I won't be at the gym all weekend probably, though I might go over on Sunday if our schedule allows. There's so much housework to catch up on (lugging laundry from the 2nd floor to the basement and back is a pretty good workout too!), and we have a couple more apartments we might try to go check out too if we can arrange it. There never seems to be enough time for everything!
