People care about YOU.

Today I got some sad news. One of the nicest guys I went to high school with committed suicide yesterday. He was 42. He had a wife and children.
One of the things I like best about Spark is that people are honest here. We talk about our struggles. Our weaknesses. Sometimes our feelings of hopelessness.
I mostly post funny stuff and I'm mostly upbeat about weight loss (frustrating as it can be)... really, if I didn't laugh, I'd cry!
However today I want to post very seriously. If you are struggling, I am here to tell you that depression LIES to you. It tries to tell you that no one cares. That no one would miss you. That even your family would ultimately be better off without you.
That's NOT true. More people than you can imagine care about you. If you are struggling through a dark time in your life, please, please, please call this toll-free phone number: 1-800-273-8255. Just talk. Learn that there's help nearby. There are people who can help you through, because YOU are precious and more important than you can imagine.
