PAWSE June 10

Wednesday, June 10, 2015

This is the last week of school. The kids get out early the next two days and next week are home full time. I have no excuse to not cook dinner every night. I almost let the fact that Eric couldn't grill keep me from having the Salmon I bought tonight. I made it anyway. I didn't use the grill but did use the same seasoning he would and broiled it. It was very yummy! I've already pulled out pork tenderloin from the freezer for tomorrow night. Either Friday or Saturday we will have leftovers. The other night will be Chinese chicken salad. Sunday is going to be my biggest challenge. I will be taking Nicole to a swim party for her class and then immediately to a team party for softball. A big salad for the swim party might just be in order! My Aunt is also coming into town that day. Monday is DH's birthday. I'm not sure exactly what will happen but it will be healthy.

Next week while Eric is at work and I am at home with the kids I will have to be extra diligent regarding stress eating. I must use other strategies to stay calm when the kids are fighting and not rush for the food.

I'm with you..I love having the kids home and not having to be out the door early, but their constant fighting and snacking sends me over the edge often. We've been out for almost a month now, and it's going pretty well. Some days are better than others of course, but it hasn't been SO bad..yet!
