I think I've got an exercise routine going again and though I'm not yet logging food with Sparkpeople again, I've got a better handle on diet.
A week into my training plan; the training wheels are still on. I'm not trying to be all competitive and do too much too quickly. But I don't feel as daunted as I was last week.
Swam on Sunday, and today am feeling it in the shoulders. That's good. It's been a long time since I've worked anything upper body or core.
Start the 30-day shred thing again today, and have a planned run with a little buildup in mileage. No pain in knees or ankles. It's still cardio-vascular capacity that is limiting me. I hit my anaerobic heartrate at a much lower level of intensity than I used to, but I'm hoping to see that improve.
21 weeks to the marathon. Trying not to look that far ahead though. Just shorter goals like first getting leaner, building my core, and building my aerobic capacity to where I can run 5-6 miles at low intensity without huffing and puffing. If I can do that by 4th of July, I'll know I'm on track.
