Days until vacation: 19 - Summer time and the livin's easy
Saturday, June 06, 2015
Today was one of those days that makes me wish summer weekends never ended. We had lots of active outdoor fun. Started the day by picking blueberries at this awesome little farm just outside the city limits. The kids had a blast and now I've got 3 pounds of blueberries in the fridge... I see many blueberry muffins in my future!
My son was invited to a birthday party for the very first time so we had that in the afternoon. He had a blast! It was one of those big places filled with different types of bounce houses. He had a lot of fun, but I'll tell you, this kid never runs out of energy!
We finished our day out with a few hours at the city pool. It was near 100 degrees today so it was truly perfect weather for it. And then we ended our night eating hot dogs and potato salad around our fire pit with a few toasted marshmallows to boot.
I love the summer. This summer is especially sweet because I know my little family will be making so many special memories. I hope you all are having a great start to your summer as well. It's only just begun!
Also, if this is your first time at my blog, welcome! I'm counting down to our first family vacation in June when we head to Galveston, TX (my first time in Texas as well). Happy reading.
Anyone want some blueberries?
