5 a.m. workouts!

Last blog I mentioned that the hubs and I will be doing the 21 Day Fix. In order for both of us to do this together, we wake up at 5 a.m. every day (except Sunday) for a workout. This is the time we have before he has to leave for work and before the kids wake up. I have been enjoying the workouts a lot. The workouts change each day so it does not get too repetitive. They are challenging enough to burn serious calories and work up a good sweat, yet they are manageable and there are modifications if needed. I'm not gonna lie, there are some mornings when I wish I could just sleep for another hour, but once I finish a workout I feel fantastic! Sunday is yoga day so we decided sleep in on Sunday mornings and do yoga in the evening. It is relaxing enough that it would not interfere with sleep.

I still have some work to do on the diet side. I find the container thing in the 21 Day Fix to be confusing, and I would just rather keep track of my calories. I use the containers for portion size but still track my food here. I know that I can exercise all day long, but if I don't stay in my calorie range, the pounds won't come off.
