Confused but sticking to it

Sunday, May 31, 2015

Today I was a bit disappointed to see the scale up 2 1/2 ponds after I started wearing my Spark Activity tracker and taking extra walks. I am also a bit baffled as to how it measures steps and time brcause I take 2 20 minute walks at work 5 x a week along the same path and get varying steps/time. I understand steps as I walk with others and adjust my pace to theirs. I am still walking nonstop for 40 minutes and then shorter bursts...like down the 3 flights of stairs, out the building to the back parking lot. I get excited to get home so I can log my miles on my virtual walk website and then feel cheated because the tracker has only logged 1 walk, not both....showing my exercise time as maybe 19 minutes when I've walked the trail twice and should be showing closer to 40 minuetes just for my breaktime walks alone. However, I am not giving up, even though i'm feeling like one o fmy kids..."I'm working at it and it's not fair"......!

I have a Digi-walker so don't know anything about a Spark tracker. I hope you figure how how to get it to work properly for you.

I don't know, but it sounds like it's time to get a new pedometer. That would be very frustrating to me also.

Hope you figure out how the tracker counts walk time and steps. I'll be interested as I haven't bought one yet and am still trying to decide whether I should. At least it got you exercising more! ;-)
