When do you feel full?

Sunday, May 31, 2015

On average, how many minutes does it take for your stomach to signal to your brain that it's full?

20 minute

Explanation
It takes the stomach about 20 minutes to realize that it is full, which is why experts recommend that we eat slowly. Put your fork down between bites to avoid overeating.

I've always been a slow eater, I like to taste my food a lot of the time! I don't let myself get hungry because my stomach gets angry with me which leads to digestion issues!

You really have to tune in to your stomach... Eating slowly makes it easier. But stopping before you feel full is optimum and hardest. By slowing down instead of chiding down I make fewer mistakes.

I would be skinny as a rail if I ate with chopsticks! Maybe I'll try that too. Lol
