This is the big question:
Why does it only take 3 days to gain back all the weight that you lose in a month???
Now... I don't know this for certain, because I am still only stepping on the scale only on Fridays... but I know what I put in my mouth this weekend. I was stress eating beyond belief. I had a house full of company and when I don't have my space I eat. That is how I cope. I feel bloated and yucky.
So... Now I have hit the reboot button yet again.
I am going to congratulate myself for rebooting and not be completely self-punishing for this past weekend.
What's done is done.
It will happen again.
Luckily there are no holidays coming up for a while....

You put into words something that is true of myself, but I have never verbalized:
I had a house full of company and when I don't have my space I eat. Thanks for that!

I have also bemoaned the fact that it takes so much longer to lose weight than it does to gain it!

YOU DID THE RIGHT THING: congratulating yourself for rebooting! Positive self-talk is so important, and so hard sometimes!

You remind me of a time I was in WW, and the after all the applause for people who had lost weight, the leader told us to applaud for those who had gained weight, but had the COURAGE TO SHOW UP AT THE MEETING ANYWAY! Obviously, that touched me deeply.

Try not to beat yourself up too badly. We've all done it. Forgive yourself and move on.

sending hugs and support. Stress eating is just what we do. It's the coping mechanism we've been turning to for a long time so it's habit. I applaud you for recognizing, and moving on. Some of that weight is likely water and I'm thinking that friday's weigh in will not be as bad as you may expect.
