Healthy - what does it mean

Tuesday, May 19, 2015

What healthy means to me is being at a healthy weight. Healthy is not having to take a pharmacy of medicines. It is being able to sleep without a cPap machine. Being healthy is not having a list of illnesses that do damage to your body. Being health makes living life more enjoyable.

That is my goal!

I was just recently able to get off night time oxygen for apnea due to the fact that I have dropped 75 pounds so you too can get healthy! I am also off high blood pressure medication and working my way off of high cholesterol medication! Good luck on your journey to better health!

"Healthy" is one of those personally-defined words/feelings/conditions! Sounds good! Go for it!

Some great goals. Getting healthy is worth it. I'd love to stop taking all my medications, dump my cpath machine, but until I can I'' keep pushing myself forward a step at a time. Hang in there emoticon

I'm determined to "outgrow" my CPAP machine. I know it may not be possible because plenty of thinner people have sleep apnea. So, it doesn't always coincide with obesity, but I'm eager to check that off the list of reasons and hope I can retire the Darth Vader mask one day. I wish the same for you!

Everything you said is true to some extent. Sometimes healthy people DO have to take medications. You want to be the healthiest YOU you can possibly be, and that is an awesome goal! Eat healthy, be active every day, get your sleep, drink your water, and amazing things WILL happen!

good thoughts of being healthy. Healthy comes in all different ways.
I am on a cpap machine because I stop breathing at night but all my blood pressure/pulse and my blood test are great. except I needed vit-D was to low. I am on no pills except for the weight loss pill by prescription. I am fat but still considered healthy Doctor says but if I don't loose weight it can go wrong , give me problems. cpap does not make you unhealthy though :) I love the cpap put it on sleep like a baby.

you know --- I've thought about this some.

I know I"m still consider morbidly obese --- and even at the goal I selected it will be heavier than recommended by all the charts and stuff.

But I feel probably am healthier than many folks that are at goal weight.

Those are some great goals! I used to be on a CPAP machine, but no longer! I used to be on 65 different medicines a day, one to four times a day, but no longer. I'm down to 12 medicines. I used to be on oxygen 24/7 but no longer, only when I exercise and sleep, do I need it. God does AMAZING things to His Temples and you are a SUCCESS STORY!!!!
