Cherries and berries and 2 pounds down, oh my!

21 day log-in streak here. Holy carp. O.o Of course, there are days where I'm about to crash for bed and I think, "OMG I forgot to log in! AUGH!" and I snatch my phone from off the nightstand and start poking the SparkPeople app icon like I'm tapping out Morse code. But there it is. Probably the LONGEST log in streak I've ever done. :) I may not work out consistently, I may not always get my 64oz of water down, I may hardly ever log my food... but hot damn, I remember to log in. *lol*

But something's working. I lost 2.5 pounds since I started this weight-loss thing at work. A few days ago a coworker texted me and bragged about her 2 pounds and then asked how I was doing. "I'm full of period bloat, ask me later." She then laughed and said that Sabrina (my good twin, my work wifey) said basically the same thing, but louder and snarkier. "OMG, did we finally synch? Wondertwin powers, activate! Form of Midol tablet!" was my response.

Anyway... I make sure my snacks are healthy (save for that bite of cheese danish from last night brought in by a coworker whom is not part of the contest but we feel is being paid to sabotage everyone by someone who is), I'm refilling my 24oz bottle multiple times a day, I'm toning down my meal servings... and hey look, 2.5 pounds down. Jonathan has been trying to eat healthy along with me... making better choices at lunch and going along with my healthy dinners... still drinking soda, but... anyway, he came into the bedroom and frowned at me. "I lost 4 pounds."
"Well, hot damn."
"I dunno how I feel about this. I LIKE my size."
"Well, how about I give you four of mine? Then I'll be 6.5 down and ecstatic."

We had pizza for lunch, but I busted out a fork and ate tiny bites, alternating with huge gulps of water, and by the time I was done with my one slice I was DONE. I had no desire for any more (it helped that it was a pizza that isn't high on my favorites list).

We went grocery shopping and... oh, produce section you sexy beast you... I went nuts. I'll admit. Cherries, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries... omg, Summer is my time of year, yo. I live in a really good agricultural area for fresh produce, especially fruits, and I cannot WAIT until we're fully in-season here. Where I can go out and pick my own and have all those delicious smells in my kitchen... mmmmmm... can't wait for peaches. My friend makes this insanely awesome no-bake peach pie that's just... well, insane. I'm going to get the recipe and work it out and see if I can't make it healthier, because it's too amazeballs to deny myself. *lol*

Hey, someone remind me to use those cherries in the freezer. Got a recipe for steamed pudding that makes my eyes roll in pleasure. It's one of those desserts that takes you an hour to eat 'cuz every bite has you rolling on the floor making indecent yummy noises. Haven't had it since I was a kid.

And on a non-food note... My friend Michelle (Squiggsie on SparkPeople) started selling Jamberry nail wraps. As I am a rather low-maintenance kinda girl my first thought was WTF is a Jamberry. After a few weeks of online parties and research I ordered a few designs and right now I have some super-sexy summer feet with Cherry-O wraps on my toenails. Future orders of Jamberry nails are on my Non Food Reward List now. *lol* While they don't have many designs that pique my interest, as my tastes run a bit Gothic, there ARE some gorgeous glitters, and I'm putting my head together with Michelle to come up with some funky designs that are more my style. Since the Cherry-0 design is a Junior style, there weren't enough of the right sizes to do my fingers AND toes, so my fingers are Fingerpaint's Wine At The Gallery with my ring nail (accent nail? party nail?) as Cherry-O. Now I want to bust out all my capris and peep-toe wedges. Bring it on, summer, my inner pinup-girl is ready.
