Half Way Thru May

Friday, May 15, 2015

I am happy to say I am in a good place right now!! I finally feel recovered from my surgery. I am exercising much more consistently. But my real feelings of victory come in my eating.
This past week, I decided to try a "weekly calorie allotment" & not focus on the day to day totals. Today is the last day of the first week & I will make my goal!! I am so excited!!
I have had some really low days (under 1100 calories). I know that is against SP "rules", but the week has averaged out to about 1350 per day. (Total 9500 per week).
I read a book a few months back called "The Petite Advantage Diet". The author recommended about 8500 per week or 1215 per day averaging. When I first read that book, I thought NO WAY would I ever been able to eat that few calories & still be alive &/or pleasant to be around. But this week I HAVE done it!!
The one thing that I know has helped is replacing my southern sweet tea with crystal light. I have also eaten more freggies. I have still had some tea, but I've also had 2 days with NO tea & those make me proud!!
I still have along way to go to get back to where I was before the surgery (and even further to where I'd really like to be). But I am focusing on the positives today. I will relish in this easy phase that God has gifted me with right now. Because I KNOW that one day (all too) soon, I will face some hard times. I really wanted to write this blog so I could look back on it when things do get tough. I do not mean to sound haughty or prideful at all!!
