Going to keep going no matter what!

It's been a while since I posted a blog entry. I've had ups and downs as far as sticking to my eating but when I do I feel excellent! I have started and completed the Bikini Body Mommy Challenge 2.0 which was 90 days long (six days of work one day of rest) and made some excellent progress! I lost 7 lbs and 19.25 inches on that challenge.

I started the next one, BBMC 3.0 and made it through 17 days of it and then the day before yesterday I somehow managed to injure my ankle. I worked out in the morning and was fine but just before I put the kids to bed for the night my ankle twinged very painfully. I'm not sure what happened but as I moved to get off the couch my ankle was not very happy about it. My husband looked at it and said I should stay off it for a few days so I don't make it worse. Big sigh!

I, having just completed 107 days of exercise was not ready to stop my forward momentum by not working out at all. But standing is uncomfortable and walking on it a lot is out of the question. Lucky for me I have a good friend that is not only my accountability partner but also just recently became a certified personal trainer, and I told her about the injury and she has helped me make a program that keeps me off my ankle but still working hard so I don't stop moving forward. In fact the program kind of kicked my butt. So I know I won't lose ground with my goals and my ankle can heal properly.

To help aid in continuing forward with my goals yesterday I started a 21 day sugar detox because I am really needing to. My sugar cravings have started to rear their ugly head due to a culmination of stressful life events and I need to get this under control so I can function properly as both a wife and a mother. Some of the stressful events are that we discovered our 8 year old cat has two cancerous tumors on her leg that need to be removed. I am going to be starting school on May 11th to become a Health Coach. Also we have decided to put our eldest in school in the fall (kindergarten) to see how she does their because she is not thriving as we are trying to home school her. It has been a very hard choice and I am still very nervous about it. Also my children and I are going to be going to visit my family and will be away from home for about 3 weeks in June and I have been stressing about how that will go since it will be a road trip to the midwest in an RV and I'm not sure how well the kids and I will sleep being away from home. As well as my family eats differently than my kids and I do.

So needless to say I want to get myself back on track before all this craziness sets in. I still have quite a ways to go until I meet my goals but I want to focus on each step as I make it. Today is day 2 of the sugar detox and I am a bit foggy headed and tired but I will be fine and feel better once I come to the end of the 21 days. I have complete faith in myself and I know I can do this because I have done something similar before that was 28 days long. I will continue to do my altered workout until my ankle heals and then get back to doing the BBMC 3.0 and finish that up too!

I am so happy to be in one-derland for the first time in years. I am working hard to be able to play on park equipment with my children without it being an uncomfortably sung fit. I WILL have the upper body strength to go across the monkey bars and I WILL be able to run around and play easily with my 2 children!
