I can do this

Tuesday, May 05, 2015

The semester is almost over. Giving finals this week with graduation on Saturday. Thus freeing up a ton of time. I just have one class for next semester instead of three and plus I have all summer to plan for the fall! I am looking forward to just working one job and having more time in the evenings. This more time will allow me to focus on either doing piyo more consistently or doing strength training. I am doing good getting up in the morning to work out. I backed up the time I am getting up. It was 5:45. Now it is 5:30. On gym days, it will allow me 40 minutes on the elliptical.

I probably will meet my first big goal of losing 50 pounds this summer! I am excited. Fingers are crossed that my weight will be 250 by the end of June. So 50 pounds in 7 months is possible if I continue to work hard. I thought I would not see 250 this quickly since starting in December. I am hoping that I can be closer to 200 by the end of the year. I would love to surprise my parents and SIL with all my hard work.

I am also close to my second goal of being able to run a 5k. I have been working through the C25K program. I am on week 5. For week 5 each day has a different run amount so I have been taking my time on this week before moving on to week 6. It took me a while to be able to run the 6 minute, walk 1, run 4, walk 1, run 6. I was not going to move on to the next day until I could run the second 6 minutes without stopping. Hopefully sometime this summer, I should reach running 3.1 miles. I am looking forward to that. I have been thinking once I can run a 5k then I might try to progress into a 10k using the Bridge to 10K program.

I am just excited to see the changes and my endurance coming back. Oh, one of the most things I am excited about is having time to plan out and prepare healthy dinner meals.
