Half Way There

Sunday, May 03, 2015

We got half of my garden planted today! Such a great feeling. It would have been nice to get it all done but I have to be patient with my Hubby. You see, he can be a tad bit on the obsessive side. He has been bad in the past about having things "symmetrical", making sure that the tomato plants all line up, the herbs are in line also. But today was a bit, shall we say--over the top! The man took a yard stick out to the garden!! LOL He measured the distance between all the plants, dug the holes very precisely, making sure that everything was just so before he would get on with getting the darn plants into the ground! Mind you, it was 80* out there and I have always just said "That looks like a good place!" and socked them into the ground! LOL They have always grown and turned out beautiful. Of course this was before the Hubby every helped me plant my garden at all! I have to admit, I was beginning to lose my patients but did hold on to it long enough to at least get half the garden done. LOL I managed not to throw up or pass out, which I have been known to do before in the heat. After the lavender went in, that was it, I told him I needed to go to the house! And I really did!! LOL I got cooled off, drank a bucket of water and felt a lot better. unfortunately, I now have another bunch of herbs to finish planting. I'm going to put some of them in planters and mix them in my rose garden, they really look good that way. And maybe, if I'm lucky, I'll be able to handle it myself! LOL Don't get me wrong! I love that he wants to help me, I just don't want him to help me to a fit of frustration!! LOL Here's to everything staying alive! :)

You've got the patience of a saint. I would not be able to tolerate such obsessive behavior. Good for you!
