These calorie ranges are CRAZY!!!!

Wednesday, April 29, 2015

OK... I know I exercised a lot yesterday. Logged over 20,000 steps (It was just too beautiful a day not to walk!) and went to Zumba in addition to Cosco shopping and other errands.
My calorie range was suggested to be between:
2814-3164

I thought, "That cannot be accurate." So I checked in with Fitbit... Suggested calorie intake:
2703
Also crazy high, right? So my SIL suggested I try MyFitnessPal. I signed up. Got an account. Linked it with my fitbit. The results led to a suggested calorie intake of:
2699
Lower... But come on... Really????
Now I have a weight LOSS goal. I am NOT in maintenance. I have my calorie deficit on Fitbit set to 500 daily. I set my activity level on MyFitnessPal to moderate.

Thoughts anyone?
My solution was to officially sign up for my one year subscription to SparkCoach and access the "Email a Coach" feature.
I'll wait to hear what they say.
Meanwhile... No. I did NOT meet my calorie requirements for the day...
And I'm good with that.

Any food package you pick up states: values listed based on a 2000 calorie diet. I can maintain on that with LOTS of exercise. I have to stay between 1500 and 2000 to lose and then it's slowly with LOTS of exercise. I shoot for a minimum of 120 fitness minutes a day and exceed that most days. I agree with you; those numbers are CRAZY! You, on the other hand are not! Wisdom comes from experience!
