So... I'm a big believer in weighing every day.
The irony is, as I'm reading an SparkBlog about how weighing every day is a habit I need to break, one of the blogs that is highlighted on the right side of the page as one that I might be interested in is entitled something along the lines of, "The number one habit of successful dieters? Daily Weigh-ins!"
So which one is it people?!?
Get your story straight!!!
In any case, for this week I have decided not to weigh in until Friday.
I want to see how it goes.
I know I will be down on Friday because, as with every week, I have been keeping to the program. The only reason I know I will be down from my last weigh-in is because my last weigh-in was so obscenely high that I know I was retaining water, etc. which will certainly be off.
My usual issue is this....
When I weigh in every day, my highest weight is usually Sunday. My lowest weight is usually Tuesday.
This is my pattern.
If it were only because Monday is a work-day, and on work days I don't have time to exercise as much and I drink a TON more water than on my busier non-work days... The same should hold true for Friday, because Thursday is also a work day and I have basically the exact same Thursday pattern as Monday pattern. Right?
But no. I am always up about two pounds from Tuesday to Friday. Often I will not have lost anything from Friday to Friday.
My Tuesday weigh-ins are always happy.
But now that I am really trying to put more effort into non-scale victories, I did not weigh myself this morning.
It required willpower, but I did it!
Now just focusing on having a healthy day and keeping up with the no-weighing-until-Friday plan.
