Are you afraid of your wardrobe?

Monday, April 27, 2015

Before I get started on my wardrobe blog...I need to stay accountable for yesterday. My goal in the next five days is to do 35,000 steps before the end of April and 30 min of exercise each day.

Okay got that out of the way..now....Are You Afraid Of Your Wardrobe?

I know I am. How many of us have lost weight already? emoticon I have, and I'm pretty sure all of you have already. Now.. my quandary is buying clothes. I still keep wanting to buy a bigger size even though I've lost 2 sizes. Why can't my mind get in the groove of my body? I gave away 2 bags of clothes yesterday. Boom!!!! Out of the closet they went and to other family members. Out of sight, out of mind right? WRONG!!!! Now.. I have lost and I have had to buy new things but somehow my mind needs to catch up and quick or I'm going to be paying more money (yes the average cost per plus size is approximately $5.00 more per piece and that can add up). It's a feel good kinda thing. It's an accomplishment yet my mind plays tricks on those types of things. What do you mean you have lost a size? You'll just gain it back (my mom told me that one when she said are you sure you want to give these away you might need them).. um....NO!!! Okay this is my sound off for the day.. Anyone else go through this or is it just me??????

Motivational Quote for the Day ~

I know exactly what you mean! It's especially hard after wearing those loose old clothes because they were comfy. I keep giving mine away. The good news is I go to thrift stores and get my clothes. They're so much cheaper and the jeans are already broke in and softer. I just bought two pair of jeans for $1 at one thrift store. I discovered that I love the jeans with the spandex in them - they're so much easier to move in. I can bend and stretch better (lol). I also discovered those Lee jeans with the no gap waist band were really nice. It's hard for me to find warmer weather tops though. I don't know which size to get because I can't wrap my mind around the smaller size and sizes are not created equal between clothing manufacturers.
Suggestion, if you have new smaller sized clothing similar (example jeans and top) to a set of your larger sized clothing. Try on the larger size first and look in a full length mirror then put on the smaller size and see the difference. Sometimes it takes that to see, well look I have lost weight and I really am smaller. Good luck.

A lot of us get clothes at the second hand shop. You get good clothes cheap so you don't feel so bad about spending the money. Keep up the good work. emoticon

Congrats on going down a couple of sizes. Feels great to get rid of the bigger clothes, doesn't it? Have a great day!
