The last two weeks of half marathon training I decided I needed to reward myself and try something new. I've been wanting to try the Pure Barre classes. So Monday morning I went in for my first class. It was much harder than I thought it would be. Those stretches and tucks and hard. But I returned for Wed and Fri classes. I signed up for a month and am planning on doing it 3 times a week. My muscles ache in a different way than running. I'm hoping it will help my stretch my hip joins some. Have had problems with my hips when doing long distances. And of course abs, abs, abs. The teachers have been really helpful and friendly and one of my teachers from the Y also goes there. I told her she needs to teach a class so I don't have to go to two places.
Looking forward to see how I feel about it at the end of the month. If it's worth the money. That's the only drawback....expensive.
