Today one of my emails was about hunger and ways to stave it off - the very first sentence really hit home for me - "Do you do really well with food for a while, then suddenly you are feel like you are starving and overeat"

I've gone through that many many times and quite honestly I think its my body telling me that I'm not getting the nutrition/food in me that I need. I've tried many things on the list to try and help - eat when not hungry - drinking water thinking I might just be dehydrated (water for some reason makes my stomach hurt) - small snacks between meals (usually an apple which staves off hunger for me)

None of those things have helped that "starving" feeling so I head to the carbs and yes it so helps that feeling that my body just isn't getting what it's saying it wants - a really good fulfilling meal. Doing this seems to soothe me (comfort zone maybe?).

Does this work for everyone - nope - does this mean I poo-poo things on the site - nope. What works for one may not work for another - we're all individuals - this place is a stepping stone - a motivator - an inspiration giver - a tool - we can use some or all.

I guess I'm not wrapping my head around the "starving feeling" is a good thing.
