For a snack that is!
Calories, protein & fat, low carbs. GENIUS! I discovered this (well, re-discovered) yesterday when I found a partial bag of pistachios in my desk. HEY. NUTS!
Today I have nuts for snacking.
Today I think is planned pretty well. I will probably add something to dinner at some point. My calories are still a bit low for today, but better than yesterday, and balanced better.
I randomly decided to check the online patient portal just now. (My doctors office has this. You can log in & see all your test results, dr notes, vitals - charts of weight and blood pressure - upcoming appointments, and other stuff. It's awesome. )
My test results are back! All my numbers are well within the range of normal (below the upper limit, too, not "borderline.") and there are no notes from the doctors, so I guess that means no Baby-Beetus.
1 hour = 111, should be below 199 according to the chart (?? not sure why my previous 1 hr at 138 was "borderline" then but whaaaaaaaaatever)
2 hour = 98, should be below 139
3 hour = 86, should be below 109.
Oh and fasting pre-test was 82, should be below 99. This is lower than my annual checkup last year, too. (I was worried about it being 90 when the cutoff was 99 but the dr said don't worry about it. Interesting.)
I can STOP panicking.
Honestly, though, I think I'll keep tracking for a while. I feel much better today after yesterday - I ate more and balanced my foods better and I think this is a good thing. I won't worry so much, or feel so crummy sometimes from not eating or eating too little, and then eating a lot or carby stuff. Sometimes that makes me feel woozy or weird. Either way, it's healthier for both of us. And Mr. Turtle, because I'm making healthier dinners too! AND will help me continue to keep my weight gain in check for the last ~8 & 1/2 weeks (eeeeeeeeeeek! is that all??).
Thank you for all your kind comments and support on my big ol freakout post!!
And yeah, I might scold my doctors next time I go in about their Big Scary Speeches. SHUT UP GUYZ.
