No progress

I have made no progress this year. It's been set back after set back . This has resulted in a weight gain. Am I gonna give up and stop trying ? No.

Started my meds for possible fibromyalgia back before the holidays . For multiple reasons I think they may have a part of my gaining weight. Did call the dr a few weeks ago and they let me cut back to my original dose but no difference. I go back to that dr next month so I am going to push to try a med without the side effect of weight gain.

Am still on prescription strength vitamin d since it is really low right now. This can affect energy levels among many other things.

Didn't complete a 90 day fitness program I was doing. Think I made it to week 8 or so. Had no inch loss and had gone up in weight. My guessing is that the workouts were too intense for my body with all going on with me. Now I am floundering with my exercise. Never used to follow plans but now I think if I am not following a plan then what I throw together just won't cut it. Probably over complicate things here. Have seen some free plans floating around online but most look too intense I can tell . Left to myself I am bad at doing cardio and doing the same and not adding variety and skipping st workouts.

The gym thing wasn't for me. On days when I don't have to be at work early then if I wanted to go workout before work I had to rush to get dressed for the gym and pack my work clothes and get kids ready for school then take them to school then head to town to gym only to keep an eye on time while working out so I allow myself enough time to rush to change to work clothes and wolf down a lunch on my way to work.....just an added stress that my body and life don't need to go through.

Now have a "new" knee issue that has creeped up on me this week. Resting and being careful. If it is not better in a few days on my next day off I may need to go get it looked at by the dr.

Also been having spells lately that hit at random times where I feel like I could pass out and start sweating and ears ringing and I have to sit down and get something to eat and wait a bit for this to pass. One family member said to have the dr check my sugar levels cause diabetes runs in the family. Someone else mentioned it could be high blood pressure. So it is on my list to talk to the dr about. The dr is gonna think I am crazy.

I am tired of setbacks and ready to feel good and healthy and make progress in the right direction again. Not gonna give up.

Good for you for NOT giving up, what would that do but set you back even MORE, when 1 day you wake up & realize you have to start over, again! I KNOW I have been there! emoticon emoticon

emoticon I am recommitted to getting into a smaller skirt, for my Fairy God Daughter's wedding Aug. 9! I have several months to get back down #10! Should be easy, right? BABY steps! I want to reach it by my B'Day 7-6 AND maintain! emoticon

Hope you find something good for you exercise wise - if you like a plan maybe there is something suitable on-line if you google beginner or easy workout plan.

It is good that you are listening to your body, and I hope the doctor has some answers.

    Take care

You definitely are in need of a good checkup with your doctor. I hope you can find the answers to some of your problems soon. In the mean time I think it helps to set small goals and conquer them before moving on. Concentrate on health, not weight loss.

Those are definitely not symptoms you should ignore. I would see the doctor sooner rather than later.

When you see you doc why not ask about an appropriate form of exercise that does not conflict with your fibromyalgia. Exercise does not have to be intense or for long spurts for it to be effective hun.
I wish you luck, keep positive- you can turn it around. Just take care of your condition first. emoticon

Maybe if you can squeeze in a brisk walk, it might help your fibromyalgia and make you feel really good.
