I scream, you scream....we all scream for Ice Cream!

Do you have that one food that no matter what you will eat it? I mean you will fill yourself SO full of it that you are on the edge of being sick? You know....eat the whole container?!?!?

Well that is totally me and Ice Cream.

I love it, I love all flavors and will eat a whole pint and still want more. Its crazy really! I used to be this way with M&Ms too, but giving up sweets for Lent this year really helped cure me of that addiction. But ice cream....oh goodness is it a major down fall for me. Just typing this out makes me want to run to the store and get some. SMH.....I have a problem!

Hello world, My name is Kim and I'm a Ice Cream Addict!!

So what can I do about this? I can't hit my goals by eating a pint of ice cream every few nights a week. I can't get rid of this stomach bloat with all that dairy......I NEED TO STOP! Starting today I am going to give myself the same rule I had for sweets during Lent to ice cream.

NO ICE CREAM AT HOME OR AT WORK UNTIL JUNE 15TH!!!!

That will be 2 full months of no ice cream....plenty of time to kick the habit. This will also lead me into summer time when I eat more frozen grapes and sugar free water ice. I can control this and I WILL control this.

    Pizza and chips...chips chips lots of chips. I can eat bags and bags of Ruffles...

    Ice cream I no longer buy for me. It's pretty easy as I will only eat it if it has nuts (crazy I know) butter pecan, rocky road, chunky monkey etc...Tom and the kids love the peanut butter cup type things so I don't eat it. Works well, can be in the freezer and I'm like "great, they never think of me" when if fact, they are totally thinking of me. LOL

    Good luck sis...I like one Sparkies suggestion of cone OUT of the house...maybe do that after June 15?

    I can't stop eating pasta, so I no longer make it. I will eat an entire bowl, be so full, but still eat more. lasagna, ziti, angel hair. with sauce, with cream sauce, just butter I don't care I will eat and eat. ugh.

    Ice cream is a trigger food for me also. I had to stop eating it. Have you tried greek yogurt with frozen berries? It tastes like ice cream. I know you can do it.

    Almost anything chocolate was my "gotta have/eat it" food. It still is to a certain degree... but it gets easier the more you practice moderation, or avoiding it for certain amounts of time, or limiting it. Whatever you choose to do, it's likely the more you practice that restraint, the easier it will get not to cave or eat too much of it.

    There are certain foods I never eat at home and ice cream is one of them. Every once in awhile I will go out for an ice cream cone.

    I think there is peace of mind knowing there are certain foods you have to learn to live without.
