Learning about food

There are so many diet fads out there that states that if you do this or that, the weight will fall right off. It provides a dietary menu for you to follow and most of the food is something that you don't normally eat within your daily regimen. This is why so many people fall off the bandwagon and return to eating unhealthy foods and whatever weight you lost from the diet has been tripled. Issues start to occur...sleep apnea, high blood pressure or cholesterol and a few others.
I have tried many of the diets that are out there. I've done the cardiac diet (had no heart issues), the raw tuna diet, Weight Watchers, Hydroxycut and supposedly eating foods low in carbs. Each one of these "diets" I was not successful with. I'm not going to talk about each one of these diets. However, I will say that these companies manipulate us into thinking that it's so easy to start a new regimen and in no time, you will get the results you want. I THINK NOT!
Now that I understand about eating healthy, I want to warn others. You DON'T need to go on a diet to lose weight. Modify your eating to serving sizes, read the ingredients that make up the food you want to eat and if you eat more than the serving portion requires, don't get down-hearted. Focus on what you did good for the day. Tomorrow can be even better. Just don't spend a lot of money buying certain foods for these "diet" programs when you can get results eating healthy and portion sizes everyday.
