I gained 3 pounds and I ate right and exercised everyday?

My first week back and I gained weight? I have exercised everyday and stayed within my 1200-1500 calorie range. I just don't get it. I know that having hypothyroidism can make it harder to lose the weight but I thought that if I drank all my water, lowered my calories and fats and got up off my butt and exercised I would see at least some loss. Any tips?
My energy levels have improved and my moods are better. I am more alert less groggy and can focus better. Which are all great benefits but I really wanted to see a lower number on the scale. I see my Doctor at he end of the month for a med check maybe my prescription needs changed as I am still losing hair like crazy.
Even with all of this going on I am not giving up. I have started making healthier life choices and I feel better. My oldest daughter and I are walking everyday and getting to know each other more. its a time where its just us no one else but the dogs and she can talk to me about anything she wants to. I am becoming a better person day by day and want I am loving who I am. but just wish I had lost some weight.
