Those darn jelly beans

Monday, April 06, 2015

emoticon So maybe this isn't actually a bowl of jelly beans but it is really close and is pretty much how those darn beans ended up attacking my mouth and ending up in my stomach. I have said before that cookies are my weakness because the cookie cookie monster is me. However, today just shows that I CAN NOT be left alone with a bowl of jelly beans...especially the black ones. My niece finally hid them out of sight just so she would have some left for tomorrow. How bad is it that they weren't even MY jellybeans that I had no defenses against?

This just goes to show why I pretty much stayed away from the Easter candy aisles this season. Not even one bag of Starburst jelly beans made its way into my cart this year. I was so proud of that. (We won't talk about the Reeses peanut butter eggs though.) Well I guess that is one more trigger discovered and that helps me to come up with strategies to combat it. Good thing jelly beans aren't a year round treat....OH WAIT!! I've found the starburst ones in the summer. COME ON WILLPOWER, we can do this!!!

Jelly beans are so yummy! For Valentine's Day my bf got me a cute little (but not so little) jar of red, pink and white jelly beans. I knew I would quickly eat the entire thing if I didn't get rid of it, so I took it to work. Fortunately, bf understood and wasn't offended by my re-gifting, lol. I now do this any time someone gifts me something fattening. It's a win-win. I get the tempting sweets out of the house and make my coworkers love me!

I agree, those jelly beans are dangerous! Our gift shop sells them year round, but its even more of a temptation when they are in the house. The easter bunny focused more on getting little toys for the easter basket this year. emoticon

Jelly Beans are my fave for this season! And you get the biggest "bang" for your sweet tooth - low in cal and look at how many you can have emoticon I am lucky to say that no Easter candy found it into my house. Good thing because then I would have had to deal with them AND the marshmallows!

Thinking about your niece made me think of the commercial of the little kid that caught her parent eating all of the Cuttie oranges. And I remember when my kids were young and I couldn't wait for them to get home from Trick-O-Treating so I could talk them into giving me some of their candy! Oh those darn sweet tooths! ! !

Easter is done so ditch all of the candy now emoticon

You can do this. My biggest problem is that I won't stop at 1, guessing you didn't either.

    Have a great night.
