No, I will still not be back to tracking every day for a while.
I was last here regularly in October. OMG I MISS YOU GUYS!!! How is everyone?? I'm going to go obsessively check all of your pages!! (But probably not read all your blogs since October sorry!)
Here's how some of THAT went down:
Yay, I ran a 5k! That was my last 5k for a while, I didn't get a Turkey Trot this year.
Then this for a while:
Yeah. I'm not exaggerating, I totally had a sinus infection for TWO MONTHS. It was THE WORST! That killed my swimming for a while.
Surprisingly I haven't been that bad with food. Here are some relevant comments from my last few October blogs:
"maybe I will just track a couple times a week to see where I am. I don't want to get all obsess-o all or nothing about it again. "
There's a reason for that.
"Suddenly all I want to do is go to bed at like, 9pm. But I wake up at 4:00am WIDE AWAKE. "
Yep, that makes sense as well.
"Then I was not so much feeling like dessert so I ate a few bites and meh. "
Yep, got an explanation for that one.
"I'm kind of taking it easy, though. Still not feeling great. "
Ditto.
WHAT IS IT??? WHAT IS HAPPENING???
YUP I HAVE A PARASITE.
Parasite results in interesting sleep disturbances, general dislike of sweets and desserts I used to love, inability to eat 10,000,000 things (not because they gross me out - the medical types give you a list), not being allowed to diet, etc.
I've been "advised" (see: scolded) to watch my weight gain and not gain too much (because I was SO FAT TO BEGIN WITH YOU GUYS, DEFCON 1 OBESITY AHHHHHH! Shut up, doctors.) which I was terrified about but actually it has been surprisingly easy.
I had a weird jump last week but I'm back down. Based on my weight this morning I have gained 8 pounds since the doctor's appointment in October. That's not bad dudes!!! (They'd like me to gain ~20 or less because of my starting extreme fatness. I'm still okay so far.)
So yeah. That's been interesting. LOL. I will be back to tracking and all that business once little Mr. or Ms. parasite becomes an external separate being - I'm told this will occur in June. STAY TUNED!
I haven't been taking as many walks with Turtle Puppy, because Mr. Turtle took over when I had my horrible neverending sinus infection during the coldest parts of the year. But I've taken a few!
Turtle Puppy is good.

EXTREMELY CUTE also.
I JUST started swimming again this week and immediately got another cold. Wheeeeeeee.
But otherwise trying to somewhat stay kind of active sometimes has been okay, and mostly eating healthy stuff has mostly been okay, and I'm a genetic freak of nature who has avoided a lot of the unpleasant side effects of parasite hosting (no barfing! woot!).
Things are good! I super miss you guys, can't wait to be "around" more over the summer!**
In the meantime, Tiny Turtle says "bonk". That's pretty much all he/she can say at this point, and only to me, but there you have it.
**If you're thinking about saying something about how I won't be around at all because of not sleeping or having time, save it. I've heard it all. The #1 symptom of parasite hosting is other people assuming you're totally brainless. I'm 33. I've heard of infants. Met people who have them. I know they don't sleep through the night and are a lot of work, but thanks for the heads up. I still plan to track when I can manage it, starting when I am feeling up to it. SMOOCHES!!
