I am chucking my weed whackers and selling my two small mowers. A long time ago I used a scythe. Remember the Grim Reaper pictures? Well, one time 3100 miles away I was surprised by something, sliced open my leg and had to sew myself up because I was the only one around it was a better idea than bleeding... So I put it away and lost it in move. But you know what? It was fun, and I was sorry I didn't bring it with me.
I just ordered another one. THIS is a core workout, and it makes hay at the same time:
I have just come from reading your current blog, and had wondered about the scythe as part of your workout routine. I was certain that there was something I was not capturing, but now reading this one, I see that "scythe" means exactly that: Scythe.
I had images of you running and the weeds being so high in some places that you literally needed to whack a path ahead of you.
Now all is once again clear. You should write to SP and the "powers that be" and see about having them add "scythe workout" to the mix.
