Just checking In...

I have finally lost 5 pounds. It has taken me 2 months to do so. I have had difficulties exercising but have stayed within my calorie range. I think I will aim for the lower calorie suggestion. I am hoping that will speed up the process. I have been more active on SparkPeople and that has motivated me. It helps to read about everyone's successes. I still am limited to what I can do physically but have started water aerobics and I love it! My mom and sister go with me. It is a lot of fun. I hope the next 5 pounds come off quicker than the first did.

    What I have found over the years is that a healthy diet plus exercises will get the results one wants. Personally, I've never had problems exercising as I enjoy moving but eating has always been my problem -- I love eating all types of food! It's not cakes and sweet stuff that appeal to me, just different types of dishes. During the 5% winter challenge, I have seen my eating habits improving substantially and will continue during the spring challenge.

    Water aerobics are wonderful for one as they don't put weight on the joints. Keep up the great work! It is wonderful that you can do this with your mother and sister. How fun is that? Love it.
