Changing Tactics

I have decided to change my exercise routine. Right now I am just doing the treadmill and weighted leg lifts to try and get my replaced knee stronger. I don't think it is enough for what I need. We have a Wellness Center in the town where our hospital is, I've decided to join. They are small but at least close to home so that I don't have to drive 30 miles! Sometimes living on a farm can be a bit of a disadvantage for some conveniences! They don't have a pool, which the doctor said would be ideal, again--that 30 mile drive to one. They do have the stationary bike I need along with more weights that I can train with. They have a spinning bike, a low biking machine and a regular stationary bike, treadmills and a few other machines that I will check out. Since my husband is a golfing fanatic, I won't have to worry about him waiting around for me to get home for anything, I can just go when he decides to golf! It is a nice affordable way to work on my knee. There are also physical therapists right next door in case I run into any problems! I think this will work out well for me, I plan to try for 3 times a week and if it turns out to be too much for me, I can cut it down to twice a week. I'm also hoping that this will help me start losing weight again instead of putting it on! I haven't figured that one out yet!! I watch my calories and points, still, I have gained the last two weeks, even with the exercise. I'm hoping to get it all figured out soon.
