I weighed in today

Why do I put so much focus on what the scales tell me? I know that it's not the only way to measure progress, this isn't my first rodeo, I know how getting fit works. Yet I still get bummed when I step onto the scale for weekly weigh in.
I lost a pound last week. Which is a loss - I know - but WOW I have been really working hard to maintain a daily exercise program and I was hoping for a bigger loss. I'm not letting it completely discourage me, but I won't deny the feeling of "UGHHH!!!!" when I saw the number this morning.
Honestly, losing 7lbs in 4 weeks isn't something I should complain about... but, it is what it is. I was expecting more based on my progress with health and fitness changes in the past, that's all.
Anyway, I'm still hanging in there. I hope everyone has a fantastic week!
