Big hike yesterday and this next week will be not on current plan

So, first off, OMG yesterday we hiked 3 hours!! It was crazy.
We've been meaning to do this hike, called 7 falls, for quite a while now. It's been tough to make happen because its a time commitment and also you need to be up early to get started or it doesn't work.
We probably should have been up even earlier than we were but it's against our nature on a Sunday, hehe.
The hike itself isn't THAT hard, mostly goes up and down rather than big upward sections, and when you get to the falls its really pretty and you put your feet in the water (it was ICEY cold, reminding us that, oh yeah, it's supposed to be winter right now), have some food, and hang out for a while. There were a LOT of people, I think because it's the end of the university's spring break week and even more so just that we all got the memo that its really starting to warm up now and this is it.
It was honestly quite warm as it was, probably mid 80s as we were ending, so it's hard to imagine doing that any later in the year without starting at like 6 am rather than 8.
Anyway, it was a blast and despite having cuts and chafing today I feel really accomplished that we DID IT.
I got 25 thousand steps yesterday, my most ever!!
I was asleep before 10 last night, and could have used even more! :)
I'll try to share a picture if I get one later with y'all.
This week coming up will be a bit odd. The best friend I had when I used to live in Olympia WA over 10 years ago, Brittany, and her boyfriend and doggie are coming to visit Tucson!! How special is that that they are choosing to take their vacation time to come HERE, to see me, when really they could go anywhere? Awww :)
Tonight I would normally be doing the walk downtown but I really need to get my house in order and looking really nice before they get here Thursday, and also after yesterday honestly I think I deserve a break. Plus, cleaning burns some cals, I'm pretty darn sure!!
Its really hard for me to make myself do chores after workouts, does anyone else have that problem?
Once they are here, Thurs-Monday morning, I'll be mostly doing the host thing: going around with them, eating at yummy places. It will likely be costly in terms of money and calories, but that's not going to derail this momentum I have now, that's just life! and its a GOOD part of life! :)
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.
