Review of Planning exercise!
Monday, March 23, 2015
It’s now Monday and I had a very fast weekend! Why does that always happen!
Friday night wasn’t great for the plan… I went out drinking and dancing with a friend. At least I had my fitbit on so all those dance moves counted for something! It was a fun night, but I need to lay off a bit. This will not get me to my goal!
So, a review of my last blog, Planning to Plan. It worked! I have a plan!
Recipe Planning:
On Saturday I reviewed the Against All Grain cookbook and the lovely author has some weekly meal plans with shopping lists so I picked a week and photocopied the shopping list and bought all that I needed. What a bonus! The recipes often serve 6 people so there are leftovers for lunches. So far I have cooked 3 new recipes!
Saturday: Thai Beef stew in the crock pot.
Sunday: Lime Pork tenderloin (actually from a website not the AAG book)
Monday: Prepped for tonight Peruvian Chicken.
Tomorrow I think I will be slow cooking a lamb roast (for two different meals).
I made cauliflower rice (very good!) and we had the main dishes with vegetables/salad.
Exercise Planning: I am trying to stick to doing 30 minutes walking each day – except when I do something else. I have a friend who is in the same boat as me and we are planning to go to some classes together.
Tonight I am going to try a Strictly Stretch class as I don’t do enough stretching. Hopefully this will help me to focus on stretching when I’m not in class as well.
Wednesday I am going to a YoFit class. Hopefully it will work out as normally when I try yoga it makes my injured knee (from 2000) quite painful the following day.
Thursday I might also go to an Aerobics class.
At the weekend I hope to go swimming but it depends on what we are doing.
Happiness Planning: I am still reading the book, Goddesses Never Age and am thinking about happiness and being happy often.
Financial Planning: I do feel more in control now that I have done a weekly shopping plan and have bought the groceries for the week. I will work on a full budget this week.
Weekly Planning: I think I will try to do this on Fridays. I have the day off from work and I will plan 30 minutes to menu plan. I have also put the fitness classes in my calendar already!
No excuses! Only results!
