Diversions from stress eating

"Comfort Food"
Even the words are comforting. However, since those are the things that got me this size in the first place, I need to try something else.
Walking the dog. The weather is perfect. The dog loves it. I get exercise. And I never bring snacks along. (There is something unappetizing about eating with a bag of dog poo in your hands.) Walking the dog is a good diversion.
Jigsaw puzzles. Although it is possible to eat while working on the puzzle, it is hard to leave the puzzle to go get food. There is always a piece that catches your eye that begs to be put in. Jigsaw puzzles are an okay diversion.
Computer games...if they are compelling enough, you get lost in them and forget about food and whatever it was you were stressed about. Another good diversion.
We can do this.
