Rebirth of a Phoenix

Thursday, March 19, 2015

"It’s marvelous to grow bored of a pattern, because it means you’re ready to let go of an old scenario and envision something that’s more in alignment with who you are in present time. Likewise, when you’re feeling disappointed and let down by life – I believe what you’re really being given is an invitation to Create.

A good friend once told me that we should never make decisions based on fear of the alternative. That is to say, instead of weighing your future on the scale of security alone, why not choose a future which frightens you a little. Like swinging on a trapeze, there is a terrible-wonderful moment when you have to let go and freefall your way to the next grab. But the more times you find the new bar there to meet you, the stronger your trust in the unknown grows.

One of the reality selection practices I love most is writing about a thing as if it’s already happening: describing in great detail the feeling I have being inside my new creation, looking around and saying what I see and why it’s splendid. I may sketch out some drawings too, however best I can focus on the refinement of my feeling of well-being.

Depending on how many resistances I have to receiving that well-being, a creation may materialise overnight or gradually come into form over months or even years. But the greater my devotion to that image, the more like a North Star my dreams behave.

As Meister Eckhart puts it, “When the soul wants something to be known, she throws out an image in front of her and steps into it.”"

This Friday March 20th is the new moon, the Spring Equinox, and a total solar eclipse! Talk about a dance of light and dark, a time of new beginnings.

"The equinox is always a time of restart, renewal and setting up a good container for how you wish to show up as you move into the newness of spring. When you have a new moon at the same time, there is even a more powerful opportunity to anchor this new start. When there is an eclipse, it intensifies everything. So be careful what you ask for and how you ask for it. Make sure you are not unconsciously asking for something you don’t really want. We have been in a tricky time emotionally where fuses are short and people are reactionary. There is a lot of energy that can either be used for conflict or for productivity and breakthrough. Make sure that your intentions are not based on negative reactions but rather on inspiration and a desire for positive growth and improvement in your life.
This particular New Moon is an excellent time to move into a more powerful place in your life. The price for this is letting go and eliminating something in your life that has been holding you back. It could be a current situation at home or at work, or possibly something from the past you have not forgiven, or an old emotional wound, a past regret, judgment or disappointment. Eliminate this energy leak and you will find the freedom to move forward in your life in a much more powerful way."

"When we shine we are going to piss people off. It comes with the territory. We weren’t born to “fit in,” we were born to stand out and be unique.
- Don’t be afraid of your intelligence.
- Don’t be afraid of your intuition.
- Don’t be afraid of your courage.
- Don’t be afraid of your strength.
- Don’t be afraid of your wisdom.
- Don’t be afraid of your depth.
- Don’t be afraid of the heights you can soar.
- Don’t be afraid of your beauty.
- Don’t be afraid of your truth.
Shining so boldly and courageously silently gives others permission to do the same."

"It is the paradoxical nature of grief to lead us to love. There is a seed planted in loss, an evolution made in breaking, a genius found in separation that is rarely apparent in the heart of crisis. But often what looks like deviation is really proliferation, like satellite initiatives born from a group’s dissolution. Leadership is forged in the hearts of those who know exclusion. To them, is given the gift of tenderness which can mentor another through their own isolation."

My intentions / seeds that I am sowing this Spring:

Peace. Within me, and as a gift to others. When someone comes at me in a state of confusion and chaos, I want to be secure enough in my own peace to pull them into it, rather than be pulled into their chaos.

Strength. Physical, mental, psychological, spiritual, all of the above. Independence and blossoming into my own power. Courage and conviction to follow my principles and to discipline myself.

Tenderness. Openness. Honesty. Humility. The ability to trust and love without reservation from past betrayals and abuse.

Letting go. Of past hurts, grudges, relationships, and all negativity that does not serve me or help me create the positive reality I desire

Bravery. Authenticity. For myself, and all people. To be who they are, and to see beneath their thoughts and emotions to their inner witness. The crumbling of implanted dialogues of who they should be, and judgements made upon them, to the emerging of their true selves.

Higher awareness. For myself, and all of mankind... re-connection with the Earth and all living beings. Freedom from the illusion of separateness and isolation and un-belonging.

This is my prayer. This is my intention. These quotes and words are my meditation on this very auspicious equinox.

Namaste. _/\_

"It is the person you imagine yourself to be that suffers, not you. Dissolve it in awareness. It is merely a bundle of memories and habits. From the awareness of the unreal to the awareness of your real nature there is a chasm which you will easily cross, once you have mastered the art of pure awareness."
~ Nisargadatta Maharaj

"And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom."
