Bean and Ham Vegetable Soup (Letz Homemade)

Makes 12 Servings (1 serving= 353g, 1.5 cups) (1 cup= about 230g)

Ingredients:

3 cups (432g) Beans, Great Northern: Dakotas Pride
1 can (14.5 ounces) Tomatoes, Diced: Happy Harvest
1 Large (211g) Onions, raw (Diced/Chopped)
20.2 Ounces (574g) Ham, Honey, Cooked: Kentucky Legend (diced)
2 Tbsp Garlic, Granulated
4 Medium (226g) Carrots, (chopped and steamed)
5 Large (907g) Potato, Raw (diced)
6 cups Broth, Chicken, Low Sodium, Organic: Simple Nature
2.5 cups Water, tap

Directions:

1. Soak beans for 12 hours
2. Rinse the beans and cook in 6 cups of water for 2 hours
3. While the beans are cooking, dice the onions and carrots.
4. Steam the carrots
5. While the carrots steam, trim the fat and shin from the ham and dice 1.25 pounds (20 ounces).
6. In a 6qt slow cooker add all the ingredients and cook on low for 8 hours.
