On a whim last week, I joined Anytime Fitness for 18 months. It was only 38 a month. I have been wanting to use some gym equipment like the stationary bikes and elliptical. One thing I like about anytime fitness is that I can go anytime I want :) The university where I teach has a gym but it is always closed when I want to go. So I got mad at them, and changed. Hence the on the whim anytime fitness membership. I have been enjoying going. On days that I am not running I will be hitting the gym :)
I slept horrible last night but I was able to push myself to run this morning. I did W1D3 on C25K program. I was a bit slow this morning, but I did it. That is all that matters to me. My HRM only beeped at me once for my heart rate being too high.
I have lost 21 pounds since December. I feel like that is good progress. I would love to be down 100 around Christmas time. We will see what happens. I am beginning to see some changes but not a lot. The main change is the clothes are fitting a little looser and I can squeeze into a size smaller. Makes me happy :)
I also am doing a piyro group starting at the end of the month. Hopefully I can keep up with everything and still find time to prep for classes and do my normal job. But I want to get healthy and look good for the beach in December. So with beachbody, I also have a month or 24 servings of shakeology. It is okay. I did half a packet this morning and it tastes just fine. I did milk and a whole banana with a little bit of peanut butter. It is supposed to replace a meal. We will see about that. I spent a lot of time reading about it and a lot of what I read said that a full packet was very sweet. So I started with half packet and it is very sweet especially first thing in the morning.
I did go to the drs this week. She put me on 20 mg of a blood pressure medicine. Not really what I wanted, but that is the way it is right now. As soon as I can get it back down to the "healthy range" I will be coming off of the pills. She kept talking about my weight, and it was getting annoying. Cause I know that I need to lose weight. I am just having a hard to time trying to figure out why my blood pressure is so high this year and last year I was the same weight and my blood pressure was where it was supposed to be. As a keep plugging along, it should drop. That is my ultimate goal.
